MIDFIELDER Damien Johnson remains a target for Preston North End.
Blackburn Rovers are rumoured to want around £500,000 for the star, and managers at both clubs are said to be mulling over a deal.
The midfield has caused problems for Preston, with Mark Rankine, Sean Gregan and Lee Cartwright all being injured recently.
But one rumour which has been quashed is the supposed link with Mark Flynn.
The Stockport player played for North End in the early 1990s but is now available.
However, despite perceived shortages at the back, Moyes feels he has enough cover without having to bring Flynn in.
Team captain Sean Gregan was forced to pull out of last week's match at Walsall with a flu bug but should be fit for Saturday.
