WAR victims will be remembered at a ceremony at Firs Park in Leigh.
Saturday, January 27, is the 57th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau extermination camp by the Russian Army.
A ceremony will take place at 2.30pm to remember the mass killing of Jews and others by the Nazi regime during World War II.
Readings and meditations by students from Bedford High, in Leigh, will feature. A ceremony will also take place at Mesnes Park in Wigan.
