A MUSICAL evening raised more than £560 thanks to the generosity of local people.
The money came during St Peter's Church annual charity concert in December.
The evening was given by Blackburn and Darwen Brass Band and Darwen Ladies Choir and sponsored by the Lancashire Evening Telegraph, Sainsbury's and the Astley Bank Hotel.
Proceeds went equally to Christian Aid and the THOMAS charity.
The Rev Kevin Arkell, of St Peter's Church, said: "During the last four years we have been able to give over £2,000 to various charities including Derian House, but this would not have been possible without the support of the Darwen people together with the band and choir and the sponsors.
"On behalf of St Peter's Parochial Church Council, I would like to thank everyone involved in our annual charity concert."
