FOUR Accrington Stanley youngsters have helped the Lancashire FA qualify for the semi-finals of the All-England County Cup.
Defenders Gareth Thornley and Dominic Kay started the quarter-final clash in Jersey last Saturday and worked solidly in the centre of defence in front of a crowd of more than 800 fans.
Defender Lee Noctorn came on as a sub as did striker Andy Varns who had struggled with ia slight injury prior to the game.
Varns came on in the last 20 minutes and flicked on a ball from which Lancashire scored the winner to make the final score 2-1.
Lancashire now face a trip to Suffolk or Durham in the semi-final stages.
