THE debate over whether to allow Foulridge-based JA Transport to build an industrial building and demolish existing garage buildings rumbles on, after councillors deferred a site visit.
Planning permission for a building of 647 square metres was refused by the Development Control Committee in September 2001 as they thought it would lead to over-intensive use of the site.
This refusal is the subject of a planning appeal for April this year.
The current application is for a similar building but of 402.5 square metres which would be used as a workshop for the repair and maintenance of commercial vehicles.
Members have asked for a site visit before making a decision.
