A 19-YEAR-OLD man has appeared in court charged with the murder of Anthony Rigby who was found barely conscious at his flat in Swift Close, Blackburn after being shot in the head.
Mark Peter Harrington, of St James Road, Blackburn, was originally charged with attempted murder and that offence had been sent to Preston Crown Court before Mr Rigby, 18, died in the Royal Preston Hospital on January 10.
Harrington was brought back before Blackburn magistrates to face the new charge and was again sent in custody to the Crown Court.
Defence solicitor Paul Schofield did not apply for bail.
Harrington is also charged with possession of a .38 Olympic handgun.
