READERS have a last chance to win FREE tickets for the Bent and Bongs Beer Bash which is being staged next Thursday, Friday and Saturday (Jan 31, Feb 1 & 2) at the Formby Hall in Atherton.
As well as great drinks, the Beer Bash is renowned for a friendly atmosphere, sizzling sausages and excellent music.
This year's entertainment is: (Thursday, 6pm - 11pm) Peter Shelley Experience; (Friday, 6pm - 11pm) Cool Breeze -- Classic Songs and Hits; (Saturday 12 noon - 4pm) Cool Breeze (Saturday 7pm - 11pm) Out of Order -- Rock and Blues Band.
Organiser Paul Barber underlined the event's popularity: "We have even had a drinker travel from Southampton to Atherton because he read that we had a beer that he had not been able to taste elsewhere!"
This year, amongst the drinks available for the first time is draft Leifmann's Kreik expected to delight the lager drinkers who visit the festival.
For the chance of a pair of tickets to sample exotic brews which are often hard to get down at your local all you have to do is answer the question "where is this year's Bent and Bongs Beer Bash being held?".
Answers, to arrive no later than noon on Monday, should be addressed to Beer Bash Quiz, Leigh Journal, Editorial Dept., 44/46 Railway Road, Leigh, WN7 4AT.
