ELEVEN-years-old chess whiz Alex Blower has completed a title treble.
At the Leigh and District Scouts' Chess Championship at St Catherine's School, Lowton, Alex, of Winchcombe Close, Leigh, was undefeated to take the individual title.
And he helped the hosts, the 3rd Lowton, collect the team prize.
Lowton High School pupil Alex was the 2001 champion after another undefeated stint despite just having moved up from Cubs.
Before that he was the Cubs' individual champion and went on to play for the district at regional level.
Having played chess since he was five, Alex now combines his game skills with a hard hitting role as a winger for Leigh East U12s RL squad.
He is also an avid fan of Leigh Centurions.
