ROADWORKS at the following locations could cause disruption to traffic flow:
LEIGH: King Street, Market Street, Market Place, Leigh Road in connection with Leigh and Bolton Quality Bus Corridor and Leigh Town Centre enhancement; St Helens Road -- footway resurfacing, off-peak temporary traffic signals; Manchester Road and Holden Road -- new road markings and resurfacing; Warrington Road -- closed to north bound traffic travelling from East Lancashire Road on Saturdays Jan 26 and February 2 and Sundays January 27 and February 3. Diversions via A580, Atherleigh Way, St Helens Road, King Street, Chapel Street, Higher Green Lane and Manchester Road.
LOWTON: Church Lane, Slag Lane, Stone Cross Lane North -- junction improvements; Golborne Road -- closed between Slag Lane and Langley Close on Saturday and Sunday for resurfacing. Diversions via Church Street, Bridge Street, A580 and Stone Cross Lane North.
TYLDESLEY: Henfold Road/Hough Lane -- reconstruction of Moss '0 Lea bridge.
ATHERTON: Leigh Road, Bolton Road and Lovers Lane -- bus corridor and permanent traffic lights; Gloucester Street -- carriageway, footpath and traffic calming.
HINDLEY: Wigan Road/Market Street -- junction improvement, temporary traffic signals on Sundays.
