FANS flocked to watch the televised Samba FC match in Atherton last month - all five of them, with two peering over a wall at Crilly Park.
The game played at the beginning of December was at last shown on Soccer Sunday this week.
No wonder I didn't see it on the planned date, December 9.
I thought I must have missed it after being reliably informed by the producer when I rang him that it would be screened on that date. However, it was a nice surprise.
Samba, who emulate the Brazilian squad, won 4-1 against G H Maughan, but the highlight of the game was a double mud slide by two brave underpants wearing streakers in the freezing conditions.
All good fun, and the only kind of football I can stomach.
