THE everyday problems of theatrical "luvvies" are brought sharply into focus as Burnley Garrick Club presents Kindly Leave The Stage tonight and tomorrow at Burnley Mechanics.
The farce, by John Chapman, is a play within a play and presents two couples having a private dinner at home. As the play progresses the audience begins to realise that the characters are members of a repertory company appearing in provincial theatre.
After a short while the play goes drastically wrong, becoming more and more involved with real life situations.
The play is directed by Clifford Spencer. the chairman of Burnley Garrick Club.
Tickets are £4.50 on Wednesday and Thursday and £5 on Friday and Saturday (under 16s half price and students half price on production of NUS card). Booking can be made via Burnley Mechanics on 01282 664400.
