A HUGE model of the planned £6million new market and museum complex for Radcliffe will go on show this Saturday (Jan 26th).
Bury Art Gallery and Museum will also be displaying plans of the ambitious development as part of a three week exhibition.
Designed by internationally acclaimed minimalist architect John Pawson, the proposed development would incorporate space for both permanent and temporary exhibitions, a restaurant and cafe, offices for council services, meeting rooms and a learning and community room. The design also includes a courtyard and riverside garden.
If you are interested in seeing for yourself what the future of Radcliffe could look like, why not go down to the gallery on Moss Street which is open from 10am to 5pm Tuesdays to Saturdays.
In addition to the exhibition, which runs until February 13, Bury's principal arts officer Tony Trehy and Mr Pawson's representative, Paul Riley, will give a talk about the marketmuseum on January 29 at 12.45pm, which will be repeated at 6pm on February 6.
