THREE pubs in the south of the borough were visited after time by thieves during the early hours of Saturday (Jan 19).
Cash was stolen from two of the inns, while all three suffered damage.
The first break-in happened between 1am and 10.30am at the Colliers Arms in Water Street, Radcliffe, when intruders smashed a ground-floor window to gain access to the bar area.
Several fruit machines were forced open and the contents stolen. The raiders caused £500 worth of damage.
Police also received reports of a burglary at the Queen Anne pub in Hollins Lane, Unsworth. At approximately 4.30am, a £200 ground-floor window was removed and a thief gained entry to steal cash. A male was seen running away from the pub carrying two holdalls.
He is described as white, aged 18, 5ft 8 in, slim and dressed in dark clothing.
An hour and a half later, officers were called to the Cross Keys pub in Lily Hill Street, Whitefield, after a burglar alarm was activated. A rear window had been smashed triggering the alarm system. The offenders fled empty handed.
