ROBBIE BLAKE passed a stringent medical at Turf Moor yesterday afternoon and officially signed for the Clarets this morning.
The £1million move, with an additional £250,000 if the Clarets go up during Blake's contract, ends manager Stan Ternent's patient chase for a player he has admired since his days with Darlington.
The deal between Burnley and Bradford City was completed last week but the delay has been over personal terms.
The 25-year-old has agreed to a contract that will keep him at Turf Moor until 2006.
The medical was a tough one as Blake is currently out injured with a stomach strain but the condition is easing and he could be fit to make his debut in the televised clash with West Bromwhich Albion a week on Sunday.
