A MIDLANDS man is searching for lost branches of his family tree that may have blossomed in Blackpool.
Peter Barber, 52, is a primary school teacher who has been working on his family history and discovered photographs taken in the 1920s and 1930s. Some of them are of the town's Stanley Park.
Most of them are of ancestors Peter is trying to trace (or their descendants) who owned a boarding house at 9 Liverpool Road and later a boarding house called Eaglehurst.
Peter's mother was sent to Blackpool for six months every year in the 1920s to stay with her Auntie Florrie Flint, Uncle Walter Flint and their son Peter Flint.
She also attended Devonshire Road School for a time.
If any of this rings a bell, please contact Peter's email address: peter.f.barber@ukgateway.net or call the Citizen on 729081.
