BLACKPOOL Winter Gardens is continuing with its facelift in readiness for the 2002 conference and show season.
The exhibition, conference and theatre complex has already been subject to extensive renovations including last year's up-date of the Stage Door Coffee Shop and the Back Stage Bistro.
The Spanish Hall ceiling has been re-painted and the Circle Bar in the Opera House has also been upgraded. The 1920's art-deco Floral Hall is now being re-decorated.
The Winter Gardens is welcoming the return of the Labour Party and the TUC conferences this year and operations director for Leisure Parcs David Chapman said: "Following the positive feedback from the Conservative Party delegates last autumn, and the encouraging comments from organisers booking events in 2002.
"We are confident that more organisations will consider the Winter Gardens for conferences, banquets, exhibitions and special events.
"We hope that both event organisers and visiting customers will enjoy the improvements as well as the great range of entertainment planned for the year ahead".
