HEALTH visitors with the Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde Community Health Trust are holding a health market for the over-60s and their carers.
Around 24 stalls will exhibit on January 30 from 10am to 4pm at St Christopher's Church, Hawes Side Lane, providing information about a number of issues such as osteoporosis, dental health, benefits, incontinence and how to cope with bereavement.
There will also be representatives from the police, local libraries, Rideability, Care and Repair, elderly mental health and Social Services.
Health visitors from Marton Medical Centre -- who have organised the event -- will also be on hand to provide one-to-one advice and support for anyone who wants to talk to them.
Jackie Taverner of the Marton Medical Centre health visitor scheme, said: "Older people don't always know what services there are for them and can miss out on invaluable support.
"We felt we needed to raise awareness and increase knowledge about the services on offer before any need for them arises, so that they are prepared.
"We hope that many local people will come and find out just what is available."
