ROVERS enter the Lions Den tomorrow but Graeme Souness insists his players won't be intimidated as they look for more Cup glory.

Blackburn face First Division promotion hopefuls Millwall in the fourth round of the FA Cup with the elation of clinching a place in the Worthington Cup final still fresh in their minds.

But despite the New Den being seen as a daunting place to play at, the Ewood chief says it holds no fear for his side.

"I do not think it will be as intimidating as Old Trafford and we acquitted ourselves well there last week.

"If we can cope with 67,000 at Old Trafford I think we will be able to deal with most things.

"It will be a different type of test and I think it will be a stiffer test than Barnsley or Sheffield Wednesday as they are up there in the first division.

"They will fancy themselves and will be full of confidence but so are we."

Tomorrow's FA Cup tie at Millwall is special for one Rovers player, Lucas Neill, who will be returning to his old club following his £750,000 move from the New Den in September.

It will be the first time back for the Australian international who was popular with the Lions' fans after he helped Millwall win the First Division championship last season.

The 23-year-old is keen to halt his former club and progress in the FA Cup after being cup-tied for Rovers' Worthington Cup heroics.

"I want to achieve things like the Worthington Cup final at Blackburn but I may get my chance in the FA Cup or next year," said the right back, who is expected to return to the side after sitting out Tuesday's Sheffield Wednesday victory.

"This season, I would have liked to have met Millwall in the final, then both clubs will have gone as far as they can.

"But I am confident we are going to get a win because I have trained with both teams and I know we have just got an edge over them.

"But the cup is a funny thing so we have to go for it punch for punch really. It is not going to be a walk in the park."

Millwall, under manager Mark McGhee, have had a great season so far in Division One and are currently challenging for a place in the Premiership.

"I am not surprised they are where they are in the league and while Mark McGhee and Ray Harford have a lot to do with that, it is not an over-achievement as far as the players are concerned either," continued Neill. "I think it is them confirming their potential.

"Congratulations to Mark McGhee for bringing the best out of them. I speak to the management there quite regularly and they say they are getting better.

"This is scarey because I always thought they were good already when I was there."

Central defender Craig Short comes into the squad following a four match ban but looks like he will have to settle for a place on the bench alongside Henning Berg.

Nils-Eric Johansson and Martin 'Tiny' Taylor have played well together at the back in recent weeks and Souness looks certain to continue with that partnership.

"They are the ones with the shirts at the moment and if they lose them it will be down to them, it will not be me taking it off them."

"They have played well. I look at Nissa and Tiny as the long-term pairing as they could play at this club for a long time.

"Henning and Craig have been outstanding since I have been here and they are still part of it."

Keith Gillespie is out as he is suffering from a bug.

Meanwhile Preston boss David Moyes was one of a number of scouts running the rule over Rovers midfielder Damien Johnson.

The Northern Ireland international, who is out of contract at the end of the season, was linked with a move to Deepdale in the Lancashire Evening Telegraph a fortnight ago.
