TWO cyclists completed a 260-mile trek on a exercise bike to raise sponsorship now they plan to do it for real.
John Allan, of Manchester Road, Accrington, and Matthew Parkes, of Selbourne Street, Blackburn, both employed by Rossendale Transport, hope to swap buses for pedal power as they cycle along the Nile through the Valley of the Kings in Egypt.
The trip is planned for February 2002, but £4,000 has to be raised for Mencap, a charity which provides help and campaigns for people with learning disabilities, their families and carers, before the trip can go ahead.
