AN area's new bobby on the beat is holding two police surgeries to get to know residents.
PC Clare Foster, the community beat officer for Bacup, plans to hold the events regularly to address any concerns about policing and so she can get to grips with her area.
The first event is at Bacup Neighbourhood Office on February 6 from 2pm till 3.30pm. The second is at Sunnycrest Family Centre, Pennine Road, Bacup, on February 20 from 2pm till 4pm.
PC Foster said: "I'm happy to answer any questions related to policing so if people want to know more about me and my role or bring a specific problem to my attention then I would urge them to come along.
"As the new community beat officer for Bacup, I'm very keen to work with the community to address local issues.
"So if you are concerned about policing in your area or you have some information about local crime, then please come and see me."
