BRENT PETERS is turning to youth in a bid to turn his Bacup side from draw specialists to NWCL Division Two winners.
Bacup have drawn ten matches this season and, although they have plenty of games in hand, are at the wrong end of the table.
They make the trip to struggling Ashton Town tomorrow (ko 2pm) and Peters is planning to use his youngsters.
"I have tried to use the more experienced lads up front but it is nearly the end of January and it hasn't worked. We are still lacking the cutting edge so I might give youth a chance.
"We have some good youngsters - Nicky Taylor is only 20, Paul Waine is just 18, Martin Peters is 16 while Guiseppe Loppecelo is 18.
"We haven't had anyone to finish moves off and have given silly goals away but we are not far off. We have got to work together, close teams down and hurry them into mistakes.
"These lads have made important contributions when they have played so I might turn to them. We need to start winning"
Shaun Cryer, signed as a striker but who has been playing in defence, could start up front while Bacup are waiting on the fitness of John Garrick.
