WHILE Blackpool Council is eagerly awaiting a decision of the impending £15 million grant to get it out of the hole it has dug itself into, if this money materialises will we, like all the other monies that have come into the Town Hall, see it squandered on hare-brained schemes?
The South Promenade springs to mind.
The truth of the matter is they can't handle this unitary status despite all the hoo-ha at its inception. The writing off of the council house rents is one example. What about all the other mistakes?
More and more supposedly intelligent personnel are recruited into the Town Hall to regenerate the town and nothing has changed, only for the worst. All they seem intent on is awarding themselves larger salaries for less results.
