A NEW art project is brightening up a Rossendale youth club.
The girls at Whitewell Bottom Youth and Community Centre have designed a piece which is now proudly displayed on one of the centre's walls.
The Rossendale Rivers Initiative arranged workshops to create the artwork and the piece was designed with the help of artist, Stephen Charnock.
The group decided that the final piece should represent all the activities that take place at the centre - from painting to yoga.
Joanne Regan from the Rossendale Rivers Initiative said: "The girls worked really hard and came up with some imaginative ideas.
"The finished work looks brilliant and really brightens up the outside of the centre."
Youth and community worker Jean Harvey, front centre, is pictured with some of the girls.
