BOBBY Haig has faced similar problems to Graeme Souness in recent weeks - constantly switching his focus from League to Cup.
But unlike the Rovers boss who usually gets a few days grace between such fixtures, Hawks' chief Haig confronts the double dilemma inside 24 hours!
Not that he is worrying over much about Sunday's ice hockey Premier League Cup clash at Solihull - tonight's English National League date with Sheffield Scimitars is much more important.
The Scimitars will roar in to the Arena for the 6 o'clock face off hot on the trail of Hawks who currently hold a one-point lead over their mid-table rivals.
"We are very close in the table and I think that will be reflected out there on the ice," said player-coach Haig.
"We did manage to beat them 4-1 away earlier in the season but we're not going to take anything for granted.
"Our form has been patchy, you might call us unpredictable, but we are capable of getting good results and a win over Sheffield would be a great boost for us."
Tomorrow, the Hawks travel to face midlands outfit Solihull in the latest Cup (Group A) clash.
As last week's defeat against Nottingham left them at the bottom of the table with just one point, Haig isn't too optimistic - or too concerned.
"Whilst it would be nice to win - Solihull thrashed us 16-1 last time - we have got to be realistic and whatever happens we are unlikely to progress any further in the Cup anyway."
