A 26-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a mother of two was dragged under a car for a quarter of a mile.
Kerry Adamson, aged 25, was enjoying a night out with her husband at the Royal Hotel in Castle Hill Road, Hindley, near Wigan, when she went outside to confront three youths in a car.
Witnesses claim she tried to stop a white Ford Sierra from leaving the car park at about 11.30pm.
She was hit by the car and dragged for about 400 metres.
The car was abandoned about a quarter of a mile away from the accident site on a dirt track and the occupants ran away.
Her husband, Stephen, watched in horror as his wife was dragged along the road at about 11.30pm.
Det Supt Jack Dees said: "It is a tragic accident."
A man, aged 19, was also arrested and released on police bail and a 15-year-old girl was released without charge.
