ROSSENDALE...0
BELPER...0
BELPER made their first ever visit to Dark Lane and can count themselves fortunate not to claim all three points as Dale once again had keeper Mark Andrews to thank for rescuing a UniBond First Division point.
The Home side started brightly, Jerome Andrew Quay making a double save from Jerome Fitzgerald and Dave Gray.
And it was Fitzgerald who fired just wide moments later after working a good one-tow with debutant Jon Stanhope.
Belper gradually came more into the match, and Carl Cunningham saw his vollwy off Sean Gummer's cross, cleared off the line.
Dale again set off the better side in the second half, Lee Fitzpatrick hitting the post after a Gardiner corner caused mayhem in the visitors penalty area.
The last half an hour belonged to the visitors. Gummer was given far too much time and space on the right wing, and set up several chances for Derbyshire side.
Brendan Morgan shot tamely from 15 yards when played in by the influential winger, and Andrews had to be quick off the mark to block Cunningham at the edge of the area.
Steve Kennedy thought he had claimed all three points for the visitors with seven minutes remaining only to be denied by the assistant's flag.
And, on full-time, Andrews denied with a super near post save to earn a point for Dale they barely deserved.
