HAVING written earlier about the marvellous treatment I received when I had a hip operation in Blackburn Infirmary, I was discharged after three weeks, but was afraid to go home, knowing that I could not manage my household work on my own.
My sons arranged for me to go to the Townfield House Rehabilitation Unit at Great Harwood, where I spent seven weeks and have just returned home. My stay has given me all the confidence in the world to carry on at 84 years of age.
The managers and all the staff kept my spirits up and I owe everything to them -- the care, the good food, etc.
I am still getting help at home from the 'home care' ladies who call three to four times daily -- and am now looking forward to the future.
Thank you all.
P BROWN (Mrs), Lime Avenue, Oswaldtwistle.
