STAFF at the Accrington branch of Skipton Building Society are celebrating after being presented with the society's Branch of the Region award for the fourth quarter of 2001.
Every year the Society presents a quarterly award to the highest achieving branch in each of its seven regions.
This is based on excellent overall performance in a number of areas and is subject to the branch meeting certain criteria including standards of customer service, branch presentation and business achievement.
Joan Houghton, branch manager in Accrington, said: "Both myself and the team are delighted to have won the award.
"I think it demonstrates our capabilities as a team, in sustaining high levels of customer service as well as delivering a wide range of competitive products with a personal touch.
"The team has worked extremely hard and thoroughly deserves this award."
