POLICE investigating the rape of a teenager in her Great Harwood home more than a week ago have renewed an appeal for information on a man who may have been following her.
Since revealing that the 18-year-old victim could have been followed, Detective Chief Inspector Ian Kennedy said other witnesses had also seen the man and identified him as a key witness.
Police said they were keen to trace a man who was seen walking behind the victim in Blackburn Road a week ago last Saturday.
DCI Kennedy said: "We are still trying to trace this man who could be a key witness. Since our initial appeal more people have come forward to say they saw him."
Mr Kennedy also thanked the public for the assistance and patience as they held roadblocks on Saturday.
The man is white, in his early 20s or 30s with several days' beard growth. He wore a white baseball cap and a dark Umbro jacket.
