BLACKBURN'S Never Never Land is set to host a major fundraising event to help pupils at the town's Newfield Special School.
The interior of Newfield School, in Roman Road, was re-furbished in September 2000 when the Dame Evelyn Fox and Blackamoor schools became one but the outside of the school still needs a revamp because it is not safe for the children to play.
The school caters for pupils aged between two to 19 with learning difficulties and takes pupils from a wide area, including Blackburn, Darwen and the rest of East Lancashire.
Never Never Land is set to hold a special night from 8pm on February, which will feature cabaret acts, celebrity guest Garry Flitcroft, the Blackburn Rovers skipper, and lots of goodies to be won.
Tickets cost £5 and all proceeds will go straight to the school. Extra cash will be raised from a raffle of prizes donated by businesses as well as signed Blackburn Rovers gear.
Drinkers will also be asked to stretch their vocal chords in a special karaoke for £1 a song.
For more information or to book a ticket call James Foley on 07811 862345 or call into Zy Bar next to Never Never Land.
