PRESTON boss David Moyes has ordered his men to put their forthcoming capital cup clash out of their minds - and concentrate on the league.

After the excitement of Saturday's 2-1 victory over Sheffield United, North End return to earth with a bump and a trip to Bradford in the league.

North End dropped to 10th after losing 2-0 to Gillingham a fortnight ago - the fallout of which still continues after Moyes challenged fans to go and watch someone else if they weren't happy with his men's performance.

Tonight's game could see the debut of Dickson Etuhu, the midfielder who signed from Manchester City last week. Although Moyes admitted he was 'one for the future,' the current injury crisis could force the manager's hand.

The other new midfield signing, Iceman Thordur Gudjonsson, isn't thought to be match fit yet.

The injuries continue to mount at North End, with Colin Murdock back in the treatment room after suffering a stress fracture to his foot early on during Saturday's match.

Moyes said: "Playing Colin was a gamble but I felt we had to do it to get Sean in midfield. It was a gamble which hasn't worked."

A gamble which did pay off for Moyes was bringing on Richard Cresswell for Steve Basham at half-time on Saturday.

Cresswell went on to score one and create the penalty which won the game for the Lilywhites.

Moyes added: "If I could have written the script for the game, I would have been looking at bringing of Cressie about 30 minutes into the second half.

"But I can't predict what will happen and it was a gamble which worked for us.

"It is the first time he has really played since December and I don't think he is fully fit yet.

"Looking at him when he was running, I think he is only at 80 per cent and there is more to come from him."

Other injuries include Michael Jackson and Mark Rankine.

Bradford are currently 16th in the league, and victory is essential for North End if they are to close the gap between them and the top teams in the division.

Moyes added: "The FA Cup result was a good one, but we need to start winning in the league."

At Bradford, manager Nicky Law is calling on the fans to help them beat Preston.

He said: "Our fans can play a vital part in getting us moving in the right direction and it,s been nice to see everybody so positive about the situation.

"Preston are a decent side who did very well last year to get to the
