THE numbers were up for lucky Raymond Chadwick when he scooped £2,000 in a football club draw.
Raymond, who works for Lancashire Sock Company, in New Line, Bacup, has been entering the Gold Bond Super Draw for more than 12 months because one the agents is a colleague for the Bacup Football Club draw.
The club has been taking part in the draw, which also involves other non-league and some league clubs, for two years, but this is the first time anyone local has won the jackpot prize of £2,000.
Raymond, 33, of New Line, Bacup, said: "I am delighted about it. It's the first time I have ever won anything in my life!
"I don't know what I am going to with the money yet, but my car needs a service so I will be able to keep it on the road."
Raymond lives with his partne,r Julie Moorcroft and her children Stormme, 13, and Roxanne, nine, who will all be treated.
