DOES any reader have personal recollections of the private railway branches between Huncoat pit and Altham coke works/Moorfield Colliery and also the connection to Huncoat power station during National Coal Board and Central Electricity Generating Board ownership, featured in 'Looking Back' (LET, January 21), and the railway in use at the Darwen Paper Mill Company from 1905 to 1968 between the mill and Spring Vale goods yard sidings?
Any photographs of the two locations would be welcome and, with permission, copied with all reasonable costs paid and all letters being replied to.
JOHN LEADLEY, 3 Sandhill Street, Darwen BB3 2NB.
