FORMER Bacup man David Anthony Lingard has been disqualified from acting as a company director for four years.
Lingard, who lived in Pennine Road, Bacup, is now resident in Lauenforde, Germany.
He was disqualified by Oldham County Court in respect of his conduct as a director of Panda Furniture Fur Children Limited.
The order means that he is prevented from being a director of a company or in any way, whether directly or indirectly, being concerned with or taking part in the promotion, formation or management of a company during the next four years.
The company carried on business for about 11 months as an importer and distributor of children's goods from Dale Mill, Rochdale, and went into liquidation on June 22,200, with an estimated deficiency of £107,136.
A spokesman for the Insolvency Service said the court found that he caused the company to pay himself £10,000 on October 27, 1999, in respect of a loan repayment and to make payments to himself of at least £20,600 between October and December in the same year to the detriment of creditors when he knew or ought to have known that the company was insolvent.
