A LANDLADY is on the look-out for local volunteer wine tasters to test the latest additions to her cellar.
And if you fancy yourself as Pendle's answer to Jilly Goulden or Oz Clarke then this could be the job for you!
Applicants for the position of wine taster at Ye Old Sparrowhawk in Wheatley Lane Road, Fence, should be able to tell their Shiraz from their Merlot, obviously.
Angela Butler, licensee of the pub, said: "It sounds too good to be true, but I am looking for two enthusiasts to sample new additions to the stock.
"We keep over a dozen New World wines in the cellar and regularly introduce new ones in keeping with the season.
"Wine is a drink that everyone can enjoy and I would rather hear the opinions of my guests than of some professional wine writer."
Angela added: "We've come up with our own 'Wing it with Wine' guide for people who love wine but have no idea about how to put what they think into words.
"Anyone popping into my pub is welcome to pick up the guide to help find which wine best accompanies their meal."
