THE first meeting of a group lobbying for more cycle paths in West Craven is to be held later this month.
West Craven Cycle Path Group is hoping to secure funding and lobby borough councils for what they see as a safe alternative to the car. Cycle paths are part of a Government transport strategy designed to improve quality of life and reduce global warming.
Currently there are no cycle paths in West Craven, but by promoting the idea among the local community West Craven Cycle Path Group hope that will change.
The first meeting will be held at the New Road Community Centre on Monday February 11 at 7.30pm. All are welcome.
