YOUNGSTERS visiting Colne Asda with their parents this weekend will be given the opportunity to earn themselves a place in a national football squad and meet former Burnley and England footballer Martin Dobson.
Martin will make a special appearance during the launch of the Fox Kids Cup 2002 challenge on Saturday.
It is expected that hundreds of customers will turn up to try to win a place in Team UK, which will compete in the finals in Spain this Easter.
Asda has teamed up with Fox Kids and Wagon Wheels to find the country's best ten boys and ten girls in the under 13 age group to compete against 20 other countries.
Local children will have their chance to show off their skills in the car park of the store in Colne, between 10am and 4pm.
Competitors will undertake a series of skills tests and the outstanding players will go through to the regional final being held around the country, before making their way to the national finals at Mottram Hall in Cheshire.
Neil Mallinson, general store manager of Colne Asda, said: "We are expecting hundreds of customers to come along and take part in this challenge. It is a chance of a lifetime for some of our customers to be part of Team UK.
"Let's hope they can bring the Fox Kids Cup trophy back for us to see. We are all very excited about this event and look forward to discovering the next David Beckham."
