THE Clarets and the Hornets go head to head tomorrow night with Watford boss Gianluca Vialli pledging to go all out for victory.
The Italian star's first season in charge at Vicarage Road has been a tricky one and they will kick-off tomorrow night in 14th place, ten points behind Burnley having played one game more.
They are on the back of a run of six games without a win and that is why he has insisted that anything less than three points will not be good enough.
"At this time of the season we have to realise that it is either everything or nothing," Vialli said.
"One point is not enough, we might as well risk a bit more and go for the three points."
And as he prepares for back to back home games against Burnley and struggling Grimsby Town he added: "Looking at the table, we do need two wins in a row and then to carry on until the end of the season."
The Hornets have not played since last Thursday's 1-1 draw at Deepdale, that game having come after a break abroad having been knocked out of the FA Cup by Arsenal in the third round.
Despite the urgent need to string a run of wins together, Vialli argued that it is a situation that has eased the pressure for success at a club that was in the Premier League two seasons ago.
"There's no pressure in a way because we've got nothing to lose," he claimed. "We have already put ourselves in a difficult situation so we might as well go out there, do our best, and try to win the games.
"I can assure you that whatever happens in the next couple of games our attitude will not change, we will keep trying right until the end. This is our duty and this is what we are paid for, and I will not accept anything less than everything from the players."
Those words apply just as well to his opposite number tomorrow night, Clarets boss Stan Ternent. With a run of just two points from five league games behind them, Burnley have slipped out of the top six of the first division for the first time in three months.
Tomorrow night's trip to Vicarage Road is the first of the three games in hand they have on the four sides immediately above them and a victory would take them back up to fifth in the table, behind Millwall on goal difference.
The main focus of attention over the past two days has been the fitness of the three players who came on as substitutes on against West Brom on Sunday night.
It is hoped that Glen Little, Paul Weller and new signing Robbie Blake will be available for longer roles as Ternent attempts to halt the slide.
