A CONVICTED drugs dealer ordered by a judge to pay up about £9,500, has been told to pay £200 a month.
Mohammed Amir, 26, now a textile worker, had the confiscation order made at Preston Crown Court, after he was convicted of supplying drugs in 1997.
At that time, he was warned he would serve six months in jail on top of the term he was then given if the cash was not handed over.
Burnley magistrates were told how Amir, of Arley Gardens, Burnley, was ordered to pay £50 a week from January 8 and had paid £200 the day before his appearance yesterday.
The justices were told he was not now in arrears and the court was not in a position to take enforcement action.
Amir, now said to be living with his mother, was told to carry on paying the order at £200 a month.
