A NUMBER of cars in the Darwen area were broken into over the weekend.
A vehicle parked at the Black Bull pub in Bolton Road, Edgworth, was broken into overnight on Friday and looted of a Pioneer radio-cassette valued at £200.
A walker who left a car in Green Arms Road, Turton, found it had been broken into when they came back.
The VW Golf, which was in a lay-by, was raided on Saturday afternoon. The window was smashed but nothing was taken.
And overnight on Sunday, musical equipment worth £600 was stolen from the boot of a car in Abbey Crescent.
Items taken from the blue Vauxhall Nova included speakers and two amplifiers.
On Sunday evening, a mobile phone was stolen from a car in a back alley in Progress Street.
The white Ford Escort's front passenger window was broken between 7 and 11pm.
