DARWEN Library Theatre has joined a national scheme which aims to boost audiences across the UK.
The Knott Street playhouse is now part of the Theatre Tokens scheme, which means that fans can buy and redeem show vouchers at the theatre - in the way people buy book tokens.
More than 215 other theatres are already part of the successful nationwide scheme.
Recipients can exchange their tokens for tickets to see any performance being staged at the theatre, such as a drama, musical or comedy and there is no expiry date - making them a flexible and ideal gift.
Box office manager Simon O'Hara said: "We are delighted to have joined the Theatre Tokens scheme and look forward to welcoming new patrons to the Library Theatre."
As well as the Darwen Library Theatre tokens can be bought from any theatre taking part in the scheme, most branches of WH Smith and other outlets including Waterstone's and Borders.
Tokens can also be bought online at www.theatretokens .com, by faxing 020 7557 6784 or by e-mailing enquiries@ theatretokens.com. For credit card purchases call Tokenline on 020 7240 8800.
