BLACKBURN Rovers' youth team face a repeat of the Worthington Cup final in the last eight of the AXA FA Youth Cup.

Like Graeme Souness's first team, Bobby Downes' young guns now face a clash with Spurs at White Hart Lane in the quarter finals after the Londoners beat Leeds United last night.

Rovers' Youth supremo Downes was at Elland Road to watch Tottenham's Youth team triumph 1-0 over United in a keenly-fought contest in Yorkshire.

But, though Spurs now have designs on lifting the trophy, Downes believes Rovers can go into the game with plenty of confidence as the club go in search of a cup double over the men from the Capital.

"Tottenham fancy themselves for the trophy this year and they're a good, big side," said Downes.

"But we've no reason to fear anyone after what we did in the last round."

Rovers booked their place in the last eight courtesy of an excellent 2-0 win over Arsenal at Highbury on Tuesday night.

Meanwhile, ticket sales for Rovers' Worthington Cup clash with Spurs at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium have now topped 12,000.

Season tickets holders have until Saturday to claim their seats before tickets then go on sale to non-season -ticket holders.
