PEGGY ADAMS (nee Meadows) now living in Queensland, Australia is keen to contact schoolmates she knew from her years at Leigh St Joseph's girls' school.
Peggy writes: "I am looking to contact any lady who went to St Joseph's at or around 1946/7/8. I was Margaret Meadows and left the school in 1948 at the age of 14. I will be very interested in writing or e-mailing to catch up on past events."
You can contact Peggy at 11/4 Limestone Street, Ipswich, Queensland, Australia or e-mail her at madam1@bigpond.com
ADOPTED Aussie BILL RICHARDSON sends his greetings from the other side of the world after making contact with old pals from Leigh via our thisisleigh.co.uk website.
Bill writes: "G'Day mate, I posted on your board back in November 2001 looking for members of the 1958/59 Bedford under 19 cup winning team.
"Although I haven't had any success so far with that one, I'm very pleased to tell you that I have made contact with a couple of guys from Leigh that I have not seen or heard of for many years.
"In one case, I received an e-mail from a guy who lived four doors from me in Hurst Street. He left the street in 1948. Yes, we did remember each other, and have started to communicate on a regular basis. I just wanted to say thank you for the opportunity to contact old friends.
"Australia is a long way away, and after 42 years away from the old place, it's nice to be able to keep in touch with Leigh through the internet."

"I went to Leigh C of E High school and I'm trying to trace Christine Perkins. She moved to the Lake District, then was last known to live in New Zealand. Can anyone help?" writes S Farrand who can be contacted at littlewheels_uk@hotmail.com.
