FIREFIGHTERS had to give oxygen to two elderly people following a house fire in Howe Bridge on Tuesday night.
A fire started in the bedroom of a house on Hindles Close, causing 50pc damage to the room. The rest of the upstairs was damaged by smoke.
The two elderly occupants suffered from the effects of smoke and were given oxygen by Atherton firefighters before being taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.
