A BUSINESSMAN has again been told he cannot park commercial vehicles at his Astley Moss home.
Playground contractor David Fish, who lives at Fern Cottage in the heart of Astley Moss, had already had an application refused in November on Green Belt grounds when he asked Wigan planners for permission to use part of his land as an operating centre for five vehicles, three of them HGVs.
Mr Fish then submitted another application to park the vehicles inside an existing steel clad building on his site.
But this week Wigan's development control committee threw out the proposal because officers did not consider the building big enough to house the vehicles.
The result of this, say planners, is that development would still compromise the openness of the Green Belt.
