By Teri Jones Volunteers rewarded THE completion of 12 weeks of hard work by six Prince's Trust Volunteers was rewarded this week with a presentation by councillor Susan Loudon.
The volunteers, aged between 16-25, form Atherton's Team 1 and have spent the last three months working on projects around the community.
These included renovating the scout hut in Hag Fold and a team challenge at Howe Bridge gym which raised money for Two Porches School.
The group's assistant team leader John Heaton said: "The final presentation was a culmination of all the work, effort and achievements the team has made over the past 12 weeks. It provided an insight into how they hope to continue their personal development in the future."
The certificate presentation gave volunteers the opportunity to thank all those who had helped them during the programme including those who sponsored them and provided prizes for the raffle.
Applications are currently being considered for the next Prince's Trust 12-week Personal Development Programme. For more information call 01942 871684.
