IT'S a new goal for girls at Baines School, Poulton, who have been given the chance to take part in a new football coaching programme.
The girls, all in Year 7, will be able to participate in eight weeks of football coaching with FA qualified coaches from Poulton St John's Football Club.
The club, together with Wyre Borough Council's sports development officer, Lancashire Football Association and Lancashire Sport will deliver a quality coaching programme for girls who already play football or would like to.
After the programme the girls can join the club which runs a number of teams for both girls and boys. The funding support has come from the partners involved and generous assistance from the charity of British Rugby (the Wooden Spoon Society) and Sport England.
