IF YOU think you can tame wild animals then a Bamber Bridge cat charity might just have the challenge for you!
Cats in Crisis, run by animal lover Marlene Brewer, is looking for new homes for eight wild kittens.
The kittens, aged between six and seven months, were feral when they were brought to the charity from various locations across the county.
Now caring Marlene, of Stockdale Crescent, Bamber Bridge, is hoping to hear from people who can give the kittens a home.
"They're frightened and wouldn't suit very young children," said Marlene. "An ideal home would be outdoors in a stable or farm. But they're unlikely to be vicious."
Most of the kittens have come from Chorley, while one was given by a DIY stallholder in Blackburn.
Marlene, who has run the charity for almost six years, said: "It has been a hectic start to the year. We have taken in more than 35 cats already, some of which we still have to find homes for."
Over the years the mum-of-four has helped re-home thousands of stray and abandoned kittens and cats. To fund her charitable organisation Marlene sells jams and pickles and writes a newsletter giving details about sponsoring a cat, available from many local veterinary surgeries and pet shops.
Marlene currently has 45 cats with almost half of them living freely on the ground floor of her three-bedroom semi.
If you are interested in re-homing one of the kittens, or can help sponsor the cats in Marlene's care, call her on 01772 498053.
