PEOPLE in Pendle are being invited to have their say on crime and disorder in the borough.
Pendle Community Safety Partnership wants people's views on the results of research it has carried out and these views will then be considered as part of the production of a Community Safety Strategy, which aims to tackle crime and disorder in Pendle.
The research findings and a draft strategy are now on display in a variety of public buildings, including libraries, community centres, council offices and police stations, for the public to read and make comment on.
Comments should be made in writing to Keith Lister, Community Safety Co-ordinator, Pendle Community Safety Partnership, Town Hall, Nelson, BB9 7LG or by e-mail to keith.lister@pendle.gov.uk by Friday, February 22.
Mr Lister said: "We want to know what local people think both about our research findings and our suggested strategy to tackle crime and disorder in Pendle over the next three years."
Under the Crime and Disorder Act 1998, the council has to produce a Crime Reduction Strategy every three years.
The Partnership, which is partly funded by the council, is made up of a wide range of organisations such as the police, the National Probation Service and local community and voluntary groups.
