THE GLOVES, and boots will be very definitely on at Leyland Leisure Centre when it hosts a World Championship heavyweight kickboxing competition on Sunday.
The night kicks into action at 7pm with a selection of fights leading up to the two main championship fights, Holland v England.
World champion Warren Brown will be taking on Leon Van Bilson and Shaun Johnson will be fighting against Hassan Gul.
The competition is organised by the "Elite School of Thai and Kickboxing" which has trained 39 British, one Commonwealth, five European and three world champions.
Kickboxers from all over the country will be fighting for their place in the world championships.
Later on in the year, on May 11, there will be a full day of world qualifying bouts. Tickets for both events are available at Leyland Leisure Centre, £15 per adult and £12 per child.
